About the Job Opportunity

The Development Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting CAC’s annual fundraising activities, donor engagement initiatives, and ongoing development operations. Working closely with senior team members and employees throughout the organization, this position focuses on stewarding the CAC's monthly giving community, coordinating donor communication and appreciation efforts, and supporting key projects such as annual appeals and donor surveys.

The Development Coordinator assists donors in having a positive and mission-aligned experience in line with CAC’s unique approach to fundraising as informed by our Financial Philosophy. This position involves project management, data analysis, and administrative responsibilities, as well as fostering collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Project Management

  • Support the planning and execution of CAC’s annual fundraising initiatives and appeals.
  • Coordinate the distribution of end-of-year giving statements and contribute to the creation of the annual Year in Review.
  • Prepare and send donation acknowledgment letters as needed.
  • Compile and share project status updates with internal stakeholders.

Donor Stewardship

  • Coordinate the distribution of donor appreciation gifts for first-time donors and giving circle members.
  • Support the Community Support team to create positive, values-aligned experiences for donors visiting the CAC campus.
  • Assist with organizing stories of impact and inspiration for development communications.
  • Respond to donor inquiries in a timely, professional manner, escalating complex issues when necessary.
  • Help maintain CAC’s Donor Advised Fund (DAF) and foundation-giving portals.

Data Analytics and Administration

  • Compile data from the annual donor survey and assist in creating summary reports.
  • Manage donor records in Salesforce, including preferences and demographic updates.
  • Generate monthly Development KPI reports and provide initial observations for analysis.
  • Update CAC’s website and donation pages to ensure accuracy and alignment with our Financial Philosophy.

Other Responsibilities

  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Development Manager or Director of Development & Strategic Partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in service, hospitality, project management, team building, or fundraising is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Asana, Salesforce, Freewill, or Fundraise is a plus.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

The physical requirements of the position include

  • Ability to remain stationary at a desk for extended periods while using a computer.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to view monitors and read text/data.
  • Capability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, including speaking and comprehending conversations.

This is an non-exempt, full-time position scheduled to begin as soon as possible. We are open to remote candidates located in the United States. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package for full-time staff positions.

Salary & Benefits

At CAC, we are pleased to offer an hourly range of $23.85 - $29.81 (based on experience) for this position. CAC compensation packages are one part of a generous total rewards package that also includes industry-leading flexibility, benefits, and paid leave. Compensation ranges are established based on a grade system designed to ensure competitiveness with industry standards as well as pay equity. Final compensation will be determined based on the specific qualifications of the candidate in relation to the salary grade and predetermined criteria.
