About the Job Opportunity
We’re thrilled to welcome the Community Engagement Representative (internally known as Community Support Representative) to our team!
Reporting to the Community Support Manager, you will provide exceptional service and support to the CAC community. A key responsibility is maintaining expertise on CAC offerings, including Online Education, Living School, and other programs, as well as familiarity with the Christian Contemplative Tradition and our bookstore items. You will ensure consistent support to all constituents across multiple channels, guaranteeing a positive experience through virtual or in-person interactions and fostering a sense of community and connection. This role represents the organization by modeling CAC's values, mission, and vision statements to our constituents.
In this hybrid role, you will be expected to work four days from our headquarters in Albuquerque and one day from home.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the operation of the virtual and physical CAC Bookstore, including assisting with online and in-person orders and related inquiries, entering transactions into Shopify platform, documenting issues or changes, and assisting with inventory and stock management.
- Provide information and basic technical support to constituents; process and track monetary transactions such as cash and credit card donations; track all constituent interactions through Salesforce and Shopify platforms.
- Resolve inbound and outbound constituent needs using best judgment; ensure needs are met to their satisfaction; review program-specific surveys to gain feedback and improve customer service.
- Represent the organization by modeling CAC’s values, mission and vision statements when interacting with constituents;
- Provide a positive in-person experience for guests at the Tepeyac House Visitor Center by greeting visitors, sharing information on CAC offerings and tours of CAC grounds.
- Supports on-site hospitality needs for CAC events and visits, often outside of regular business hours, including assisting with preparation, set-up, and clean up, as well as providing consistent personal support to those attending the events.
- Provide regular cleaning and upkeep of the physical space, including stocking shelves, watering plants, refilling water, and other daily responsibilities.
- Collaborate with the Community Support Team and the rest of the CAC organization to improve overall constituent experience.

Experience You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in a customer service-focused setting.
- Familiarity with the work of CAC or comparable contemplative organizations.
- Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Bonus Points If You Have…
- Experience using Salesforce or other case resolution (CRM) experience.
- Experience using project management tools like Asana.
The physical requirements of the position include:
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Use of computer, keyboard and monitor is necessary.
- Must be able to speak English and hear spoken words.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

This is a non-exempt, full-time position scheduled to begin as soon as possible. This is a hybrid role, with the expectation of working onsite four days a week and one day at home. We are looking for candidates who can easily commute to the Albuquerque area or who are willing to relocate.
Salary & Benefits
At CAC, we are pleased to offer a salary range of $44,000 to $55,000 (based on experience) for this position. CAC salaries are one part of a generous total rewards package that also includes industry-leading flexibility, benefits, and paid leave. Salaries are established based on a grade system designed to ensure competitiveness with industry standards as well as pay equity. Final salary will be determined based on the specific qualifications of the candidate in relation to the salary grade and predetermined criteria.
